Maureen FitzSimons' early achievements in performing arts (now called Maureen O'Hara), would have placed her, according to American standards, in the child prodigy category. The traits she displayed were normal for a child born in Ireland, surrounded by talented parents as well as a loving and supportive family. Maureen moved into this loving home on the 17th of August 20th in Ranelagh. Marguerita FitzSimons' mother, Lilburn, was an contralto. Her father, Charles FitzSimons, managed the business of Dublin and was also the owner of the famous Irish football team "The Shamrock Rovers." Maureen FitzSimons was the child of Charles FitzSimons. Peggy, Florrie Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons made up this beautiful family. Maureen did well as a sporty woman and participated in rough, competitive sports when she was a young. Additionally she was gifted for acting. As a result, she received almost all of the Feis Awards for dramatic and acting within her own country. At the age of 14, the Abbey Theater accepted her and allowed her to live out her dreams of classical theater and opera singing.
