Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother, while Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was accepted to the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 70s, where she took flute lessons as well as the harpsichord for three consecutive years. The money she earned came from the student allowance, and relied on part-time employment to augment her funds. Lennox made the decision to alter her career path when she was dissatisfied with her lack of skill in comparison with other Royal Academy students. Lennox started her professional career in the year 1976, in the group called Dragons Playground. She left the band prior to the group's appearance on I.T.V.s talent contest New Faces. Between 1977 and 1980 she sang in The Tourists. A British pop group. That was also where she came across Dave Stewart with whom she will form the pop duo Eurythmics. Then, Lennox began to work for her debut album as a solo artist Diva which was released in the year 1992. The album was hugely successful both commercially as well as critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs 6th solo album was Released on October 31, 2014. The C.D. The C.D. is comprised of Lennox's favorite soul, jazz and blues songs of her youth. Lepidoptera is a collection of four piano improvisations was published by Lennox in May 2019. The E.P. This is the companion album of her "Now I let it go... artwork that was exhibited at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. It's also her debut self-released album.
